First Friday Art Walk Sequim (first Friday each month, 5-8 p.m.)

The Sequim Museum & Arts Exhibit Center contains the permanent " Boys in the Boat", Manis Mastodon exhibit and Jamestown S'Klallam Longhouse exhibit, as well as rotating local history exhibits, rotating featured art exhibitions, and the Museum Store featuring unique and locally-made products for sale.

A fusion of local history, natural history, and the arts, the Exhibit Center features rotating and permanent exhibits that showcase the many facets of Sequim-Dungeness Valley heritage and culture.

Here, you will find fossils from the 13,800-year-old Manis Mastodon on display in a permanent exhibit and can view the video narrated by its co-discoverer, Emanuel Manis. Our other permanent exhibit, the Jamestown S'Klallam Longhouse Exhibit, features rotating displays of tribal artifacts on loan from the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe and/or its citizens.

Curious as to how the Sequim-Dungeness Valley has changed over the last century? Peruse historical photographs and discover some early residents, and learn how they continue to influence life in the valley today.

New featured art exhibitions showcasing the works of regional artists are installed in our gallery every one-to-two months. An artist reception is held for every show on the first Friday of each month, during the evening First Friday Art Walk Sequim.
